Chamber hosts solar power event

Area business owners, real estate developers, government officials and students from Walters State Community College were just some of the people who gathered at the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce Monday evening to learn more about how to save money with solar energy.
Harvey Abouelata, president of Aries Energy, said this is the first year since his company was founded that they have marketed to residential markets. Part of the reason for that is the “perfect storm” of conditions that have come together to make solar energy an affordable option for homeowners.
“For the first time, we believe we could put solar into a home and have it make financial sense,” he said.
